Unsolicited email offering work-at-home job is not legitimate

Graybar cautions the public about email scam

Graybar cautions the public that the company’s name is being used to perpetuate an email scam.

A bogus email claiming to be from Graybar Chairman, President and CEO Robert A. Reynolds Jr. is circulating via the Internet.  The bogus email states that Graybar has a job opening for a work-at-home accounts receivable officer and contains a link to the official Graybar Web site, http://graybar.com.  Graybar does not have such a job opening and does not send mass unsolicited emails to announce job openings.

Graybar believes this bogus email is a check-cashing scam and recipients should not respond.  Anyone receiving this email should contact the FBI - National White Collar Crime Center through the Internet Crime Complaint Center at http://ic3.gov.
